Our mission is to explore our faith, serve our community, and support peace on earth, as symbolized by our peace pole.
Nestled in the serene beauty of West Marin County,
California, Point Reyes Community Presbyterian
Church is a congregation of the Presbyterian Church (USA),
one of 52 churches in the Presbytery of the Redwoods,
which stretches from the Golden Gate Bridge
north to the Oregon border. We are people
who strive to follow Jesus' way of loving
God and neighbor, hoping to be a sign of the
love and justice we trust God intends for
all creation.
Our Sunday worship includes music from a variety of
traditions, careful attention to scripture
readings, sermons that speak to the realities of
our world, and prayers for ourselves and others.
Children of all ages are welcome to participate in
worship, or play in the fellowship room, where we
invite all worshippers to share coffee and
conversation after the service. We hold special
services on Christmas Eve, Maundy Thursday, and
Good Friday. Our building is wheelchair accessible,
and is also the gathering place for West Marin
Friends Meeting.
The Philosophy Café is a breakfast conversation
moderated by our pastor, and open to everyone. The
topic changes according to the inclinations of
those who attend, ranging from discussion of public
policy, elections and local issues to exploration
of ethical dilemmas and current events.
Each February, we sponsor the Souper Bowl of Caring, a
community-wide collection of soup and other
foodstuffs to stock the shelves of the
West Marin Community Resource
Center, a vital local source of
assistance for low-income residents.
